Abstract

Two Civil War documents signed by Wisconsin Governor James T. Lewis: one appointing J. H. Rozns recruiting officer for 100 days, May 9, 1864, also signed by Adjutant General Augustus Gaylord; and one commissioning Dr. Solomon Blood as surgeon of the 39th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, May 17, 1864, also signed by Gaylord and by Lucius Fairchild, Secretary of State.
